My crazy projects

Well, I'm bored, so I thought I'd post up some silly projects that a buddy of mine and I have built.
The first one is a 3 wheeled 12 volt electric Seniors scooter.

We got these for free from a local grocery store when they did some renovations.

This project is always more fun with a beverage or two.
We started this one with a vehicle battery, and drove it around the parking lot. We wanted more power, so we wired 2 batteries in to convert it to 24 volts for twice the fun. Ran out of beer, so we drove it to the beer store.

After the batteries dies, we figured it would be better with a gas motor. We took apart his 2 stroke weed-eater, and bolted it on. Works pretty good. Just click on the pic for the video.

The plan for the other 2 carts are for a 4 stroke with a transmission.

The other silly project is an 86 Tercel. It's 4x4, and cost 50 bux. We threw in a set of Ford F250 front coils into the rear of it to lift it 3". Made some strut spacers for the front to match the 3". The rear axle has a locker (well, actually it's welded). My buddy is a baker, so he "borrowed" a bun baking pan for a skid plate. We cut the wheel wells out, threw on some Cherokee fender flairs, and slapped on a quick paint job.

Then another buddy decided it would look better as a convertible. I would have cut it a bit straighter.

This thing just won't stop running. It's survived the whole summer, and it's still going.

Added a roll cage.

My beer privileges are being reduced. Gotta save money for the new LWB Suzuki project that has returned...

Thought I'd give this an update.
I got the Toyota 22RE fuel injected motor in. Also the Toyota solid axles are in with my own home-made leaf spring packs. I also fabricated the suspension mounting brackets.

It won't have any front fenders. Just tube. It will eventually have an entire exo cage.

Had to build a mounting spot for the Toyota IFS steering box out of an 89 4Runner.

Located the Toyota engine/trans/t-case.

Built some engine mounts...

Then painted them for the professional look.

Not looking forward to the wiring step.

Took the rear diff apart.

To add a locker.

The front will get the busted RR Locker out of my Cruiser, once I fix it.
That's where it sits right now. I've been tinkering on it since January. I hope to have it done for late June.
