I have noticed that my 2008 FJ does not let you know that you left your headlights on when you turn the vehicle off. If I let the keys in the ignition it chimes, but if I leave the lights on it doesn't make a sound is this normal? This is the first vehicle that I have owned that did not let you know you left the lights on.

The lights turn themselves off after a few minutes.
None of the new Toyota's I've been in have the headlight warning chime anymore.

Thanks for the information, I guess I should read my owners manual.

Yeah the lights do turn themselves off after one minute. If you have keyless entry, or well with mine. If I press the lock button twice, it will turn the lights off if I left them on.
