Hello to all. I don't have an FJ yet. I'm saving my allowance and might buy one mid-2008. I assume the only real option package I would need is the Off-Road package? Everything else is just extra weight?

Thanks from Northern Virginia.

I'm in the same boat. I'm looking to by a 2007 next month or so. Tax rebates! (plus busting my ass at work.) I'm going for the convenience package, just because of the cruise control. All the other things I think can be done aftermarket...

If you have a Carmax in your area, I'd give them a try. You get a Carfax report to see if anything strange is going on with the car. Carmax won't sell cars that have had damage. I don't think they'll sell one if it looks like it's been off road.

I do have a carmax in tampa, about an hour away or so. I don't think they sell brand spankin' new cars though... And FJs are too new to buy used at a dealer..

Try www.carmax.com. There are 2 in Tampa and 1 in Clearwater.
