hey everyone, i just purchased a new 2008 fjcruiser with the offroad package, would have bought the '09 but $5000 off on the '08 pursuaded me a bit. i'm from vancouver, bc and all it took was one test drive to know that it was the vehicle i should be driving. i test drove many other toyotas over the past couple of months, many of them 2 or 3 times but five minutes was all it took....

Recently had Total Chaos Spindle Gussets installed on the rig so I thought I would share the write up and pictures with everyone in case someone out there is considering this mod. BTW it is best timed with a UCA upgrade.

I am running firestone destination mt's on my truck and love them. I live in connecticut and so far they have been a great tire in snow, rain, and ice. I would recomend them to anyone looking for an aggresive mud tire with great performance. hope this helps....

I am inexperienced in purchasing off road tires and I'm currently wanting to upgrade from the stock tires. In what I've researched it seems that MTs generally don't do as well in icy conditions as ATs or all season tires. Can anyone tell me if this is true and, if so, how bad are they in icy conditions? I'm ok with some of the things which are inherent with MTs, such as loudness or less tread life etc. But living in Indiana I don't want to be fearful of driving in the various winter conditions we experience...

I have been told by my local dealer that if the vehicle has been modified (ie lift, shocks, etc) then the warranty is null and void. Anyone have any insight on this? I purchased it used with these after market mods already done and the dealer that sold it (in another state) said it was still under warranty. Now my local dealer says after market mods to the suspension nullify they warranty. Any thoughts would be appreciated....
