OUR TAKE: Not much changes from our long-term FJ Cruiser, but what does change is for the good.

It's a short list though, including sun visors mounted to the headliner above the doors to help block out rays that the front visor only waved at before; the alloy wheels give the FJ more curb appeal than our long-termer's flat-black painted appearance; the brakes seem extremely responsive. The motor and transmission remain a slick pairing for good power.

Otherwise, the FJ still relies on a rear-parking sonar system, which helps alleviate some of the backing-up fears associated with the FJ's nearly blind rear view, but it needs to be replaced by a backup camera to make sure you don't roll over the neighbor's Camry. And getting in and out of the back seat remains a rigorous adventure.

But overall, now nearly two years since its introduction, the FJ is still a looker, drawing a lot of positive attention from school kids to serious engineers. Little things can be fixed, but the overall styling is really the FJ's strength.
