Powder coating is acheived by electrifiying a metal object and then spraying it with a fine powder until covered, then the item is baked at a certain temp and time until all the coating flows and hardens like a crisp candy shell. I think the handles are plastic so I doubt powder coating would be the way to go, may end up with some really custom handles.
