I think it is all a load of crap. I use the 89 octane all the time and average between 19 and 20 mpg mixed driving and 17 when offroading. I have no problem seeing out of my FJC and have been driving it just over two years and have close to 36000 miles on it. Mirrors are what you should be using to drive anyway so I don't know what the complaint is. Plus the backup sensor works great, it even picks up weeds and tall grass, so if you use it, like I do, you should have no problem. Everyone always ask about visibility, even when I parallel park on a street. I plan onkeeping my FJC until it falls apart and can't be fixed!
