Yeah, those ARB bull bars are quite expensive, but it was worth it. I love how it looks on my black FJ. It looks more agressive and tough.
However, I wanted to bring up another topic, and maybe I should add this to a new thread. But since a few here said they got ARB bull bars installed on their FJ, I was just wondering if your FJ dips down from the front by 5+ degrees (according to my indicator on the dash). I also notice that my FJ is lower in the front by viewing my FJ from the side. The weight of that ARB bar plus the winch is heavy enough to do this.
I was thinking of adding spacers in front, but I was also thinking that there might be suspensions in the market that would lift the front up so it would be leveled again.
Has anybody experienced this? If so, can you suggest or recommend the best solution to level my FJ?

ARB has a suspension called Old Man Emu that has 3 different rated springs for there lifts. I don't know if they sell the springs seperate (you'll have to check) but if they do looks to me like you could put the heavy spring on the stock strut if you don't want the lift to level the truck. Like I said, check with ARB to see if it will work. Good luck!

OME lifts do come in 3 diffrent ratings. Soft, (884/894) med,(885/895) and heavy.(886/896) The mediums are designed for trucks with aftermarket bumpers, and winch, but is at it's upper level. The heavys are meand for aftermarket bumpers front and rear, with winch, and heavy wheeling/carrying loads. They should all lift the truck by about 2.5". I plan to get the heavys this month. And they do sell the springs seperate from their kits.
Just FYI...Their kit (as most kits are) is made for a Land Cruiser Prado. It is about 220 lbs heavier than the FJ Cruiser. Your parts guy "should" know this already. You can also mix-and-match their springs. If you only have an aftermarket front bumper, and don't carry much of a load in the back, you could get the heavys up front (886) and mediums out back (895).
Also, I would recommend that you do not use spacers. The stock FJC springs are not strong enough to support a winch bumper, and winch. It will sag fairly quickly. It will also dive when hitting the brakes. Also, when wheeling and coming off a rock/ledge, it will bounce, and most likely bottm out. You need stronger springs.

RR, are you going with the heavys front and rear?
Have you seen any cool rear bumpers? I've got an ARB bull bar coming for the front but I haven't seen any rear bumpers I like.

I like the front and rear bumpers from www.allprooffroad.com They re-use part of the stock rear bumper (the sides) so the bumper doesn't look like a full diaper like some of the aftermarket rears do. Yes, as of right now, I'm going heavies in the front and rear. My truck will have aftermarket front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, full aftermarket skid plates, and 35" tires. So it will end up being fairly heavy, so I figured I'd plan ahead.
