Anyone have any solid information on what's the biggest size tires you can stuff under an FJ without them rubbing? Also, is there a way to re-calibrate the speedometer, or does the speedo gear need to be replaced? I'd like to run 33 x 10.5 tires, which doesn't seem that much bigger than the stock 32 inch tires and seems easily doable. Thanks!

Well, I can tell you that you can fit 33" tires with no lift, and no rubbing. I have 285/70/17 Goodyear MTR's, which works out to 33/11/17. I take it "real" wheeling, and absolutely no rubbing. I still have my sway bars in, but I don't think it would rub with them removed.
A tire only 1" bigger really doesn't need a speedo recalibration. The diffrence would be almost unnoticeable.

I run a 285/70R17 (basically a 33" tire) I have had some rubbing when the wheel is all the way over, but the tire rubs on a peice of plastic so i am not worried. i do have a 3" lift

Which rims do you have? They shouldn't rub if you still use the stock aluminum rims.
