Download the installation guide:

http://www.gadgetonline.com/shifter.pdf

In there you will see the dowel pins that normally stay in the shifter tower.

If they stay in the tranny you simply have to pull them out with plyers and re-insert them into the shifter tower.

We have shipped countless numbers of these units and no one has had so much trouble following the installation guide before.

Dear Professor Gadget:

You sir are wrong. The dowel pins, when the shifter plate is removed stay with the tranny in the '07 FJ...or did your factory cnc machinists in China spell backwards????

The plate was machined wrong for my FJ. End, period, stop.

Thank you.

Just for the record, this kit was not shipped from, nor does J.C. Whitney stock or sell this item. It was shipped directly from URD. There was a mixup in the warehouse and the item from J.C. was actually a bug deflector and one I'd highly recommend for $70.00 USD.

I assume Mr. Gadget works for or is a representative from USD?
