Is anyone here good at fabrication? I have an Idea for a roof rack modification that I would like to try. Unfortunately I'm not a fabricator. Hmmm.... maybe talk to the metal fab teacher at the local vocational school? Yeah that's the ticket. I'll post back when I have it made.

I am interested in what your thoughts are when it comes to the actual fab. My FJ doesn't have a rack and I think the OEM rack is ugly. I was thinking of eliminating the extended rails and just having the back area(basket) bolted on, but I have never seen this application. Maybe the back two anchor points are not strong enough.
