Could you rig up some sort of contraption that serves me a cold Heineken every time I log on?

Joomla does not have any of these features out of the box, however, admin could set them up to do this with a little programming and use of style sheets (CSS).
As far as the Heineken - I would be a millionaire if I could figure out how to do that via code - a drunk millionaire, but a millionaire nonetheless

How about fixing the logout timer. I'm getting frustrated with writing a reply only to find that after hitting the submit button, I'm not on anymore. I've had this happen a number of times and I'M GETTING PISSED OFF! SOooooo, I'm limiting my future posts to single sentence statements!!!

Are you on AOL? The last time I looked at Joomla it did not have a "logout timer" The cookies used to keep you logged in are based on your IP address and AOL randomly changes your seen IP every so often (I think 10-15 minutes) which will automatically log you out of any IP driven cookie-based sites.
I am on static IP and have never been logged out.
If you are not on AOL, whoever you use may do the same thing - it may be good to know. I know with forums like phpBB2, you can manually change the code to drop the tertiary sequence in the IP address which will generally allow AOL users to browse with little interference but it severely lackens the security on the site. I am not positive if you can do the same with Joomla but it should be achievable, but at the cost of security...
