Does it look like a performance chip to you? cmon people use your head, chips recalibrate computers to boost performance and keep it efficient, fooling it to make it think there is a problem is not the way to do things.Wait till a reputable company comes out with one.

me for one i don't think it's a scam the resistor is not expensive as it is it's the place where u put it that makes the difference. A legit chip would cost prolly ten times as much if not more because of all the needed testing. Enough about that if u wanna experiment do that but u have no guarantees that the cruiser will make it out ok. Waiting for an official release is wisest.

FYI: Their auction doesn't actually show the "chip" as they call it, from reading their feedback it looks like it's just a resistor like the Photoshopped one I posted above.
Your right about the picture though, if they included a picture of their "chip" I bet their sales would almost disappear. Especially since it's a .10 cent resistor or diode.
I bid before I looked into it, but they were nice enough to let me cancel my bid without a problem.

I don't want to burn more gas and risk my engine.
I tried to cancel my order.
We will see if they let me out of my bid or not.
I wonder if this is what it looks like? (not the actual pic from the aution, my lame photoshop attempt at a joke)
Great explination of he resistor color codes! The way that "chip" works is that it hooks up in the Mass Airflow metercircuit. Most MAS' work by the use of a heated element/wire in the intake air stream. As the air flows over the element it cools it down, changing the resistance value. This mod, simply tricks the sensor into thinking more airis flowing into the engine, and then adjusts the fuel mixture/timing as needed to the new readings.
