I was curious if anyone can shed some light on the aftermarket intakes ( TRD ).
No one at my local dealer knows anything about them.
Do they give you that much more performance ?
Do they give you better mileage ?
If anyone has this and can tell me about it--please email me here or at markspires@embarqmail.com
Thanks
Mark

I'm running the TRD cold air kit,and I can say the difference was more than I expected.A definite improvement in throttle response and increased torque. The truck doesn't downshift on hills where it did before.Be prepared for quite a sound above 4000RPM.It's really something.
Hope That Helps,
Bob

I went with a K&N filter and it feels a little more responsive than before. Plus the stock intake is not that restrictive it doesn’t seem to me that the money for the kit is worth it, unless you are looking for the sound of the cold air kit. (Or you could take the black hose off the air box to open it up a little)
