Hello all, I've had my FJ Cruiser since March and have a question or two about the roof rack. I see that a lot of people recommend replacing it with the aftermarket version. Since I mostly just want to cart around snowboards on the thing, I'm hoping the OEM one I have will do fine. I've looked through the forums and FAQ for the answer to my question, my apologies if it has already been addressed.
I see that the OEM Snowboard Rack should hold 2 snowboards. Can I just purchase the rack itself or are there other accessories that need to be purchased? When I went to the dealer and opened a box the manual seemed to suggest that there were some special order parts needed for the rack to attach.
Also, instead of the OEM version, is there an aftermarket snowboard rack that will fit on the OEM roof rack and carry 4 boards? Thanks for your help, I'm looking to go boarding very soon.
