Thanks for the descriptive on the sound. Leaning towards getting it installed. One of the dealers in town had one on one of the FJ's on their lot. If they still do, I might check it out by ear as well.

Maybe I should just go ahead with the flowmasters.
I know it will increas HP and gas mileage. Anyone know if that will void warranty?

Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)).

For best results, consider working with performance-oriented dealerships with a proven history of working with customers. If your vehicle manufacturer fails to honor emission/warranty claims, contact EPA at (202) 260-2080 or http://www.epa.gov. If federal warranty protection is denied, contact the FTC at (202) 326-3128 or http://www.ftc.gov. For additional information, check out the following links:

Will they try and avoid honoring the warranty if they can? Usually they will at least try, but as long as your within the law you can get them to back down most times.

BTW- What is the cost difference on the TRD and the Flowmaster?

I have no clue - I generally don't price things that well. If I like something and want it - I get it. My only concern was if there would be an issue for warranty or not.
Voiding the suspension warranty was the only thing that stopped me from putting the 3" RevTek lift kit on mine (although I am still debating it).

I wouldnt invest in the exhaust. As far as sound goes it is a little deeper. However, from what I have read it takes away from the departure angle. I also heard that there was no improvement in hp. Honestly, I read that it was a waste of $500 from a article about the FJ.
