Just turned 40... "original FJ-40" BLUE! I wanted yellow for a while, but don't need to draw that much attention, especially as fast as I tend to drive. My 98 Tacoma finally gave up the ghost during work one day, so I limped it to the nearest Toyota dealer who happened to have 2 blue FJs on the lot, one of which was set up exactly the way I wanted it. Two hours later I was on my way home in my new FJ. The silver does nothing for me. The black and cherry are beautiful, but in my mind, a 4x4 as capable as an FJ shouldn't be "beautiful". It should look "cool", like the original FJs... which is why blue was an original FJ-40 color. Also, in my area, there are too many black, cherry and silver FJs running around with flashy 22" bling rims and low profile designer Mickey Thompson mudders, every after-market accessory possible and immaculate wax jobs. They'll never see dirt. They're basically driven by Hummer owners who's neighbors all have Hummers, so they have to get something else. They're not truly worthy of an FJ... ah, but I digress. So I'm 40 and that's why I got blue. Next...

I had to drive 70 miles to my dealer. I spent the whole time "willing" the blazer to make this last trip without incident. It was close but I made it. tog tog

fjeologist just convinced me that when I go out and buy my FJ ina couple months I will be looking for the blue one.....no worries mine wont be blinging on 22's it might not see moab or the rubicon but the idea is to have it speckled in mud as often as possible......come to think of it mud speckled on blue does look cooler than mud speckled on yellow

I hope to do some "limited" 4 wheeling in the near future. I say limited because I'm probably not going to do anything compared to what folks like Runner_Ryan does, yet it will be greater than what some FJ's are likely to see in their lifetimes. I have got to get this thing muddy! tog
