Pics of my diy 40 series muffler can be found in the gallery, including a relocated rear hanger and shortened tail pipe.

Good job with the pics, I've been waiting to see someone actually do it. Keep us posted about how it affects the performance.

I dont actually have any numbers. I installed it with less the 500 miles on my FJ so i really dont have a base line. But the change is ofcourse noticable, i surmise that i gained about 5-6 hp. most manufacturers "pad" their numbers on bolt on upgrades. Im sure i could squeeze more power out if i removed one of the two cats on each bank, but that a bit too involved for now.

How is the noise, is it noticably louder or not too bad?

Does the FM 40 give it a good tone or does it have that v-6 buzz? Been thinking about putting one on mine but worried about the tone not the noise.
