Yeah, I have used the headlight power wire on another vehicle to power fog lights, but only after I was sure that the wiring diagram for the vehicle included enough power for fog lights on the headlight circuit. Honestly, asking for help will cost less than a problem with your wiring later.

Yeah I ended up having to wait due to weather and not having all the tools I needed. So finally got the bar on my roof. UN-POWERED. but wired. I know how to power it the way they say, via the relay switch and battery...I am gonna ask around and see if they cant connect it like ive heard before. through my main headlights..or at least so they only turn on or off when my ignition is on.

I did test my wiring of the lights directly to the battery so i know at least that is good. its just getting the switches and battery power..thats my new beast to conquer

You can still use the relay to power your lights, but have your high-beams activate the relay. I think that's the law in most places anyways. All I'm saying is don't use the wire from the headlights for the power source for your aftermarket lights.
I don't know if that made any sense...
