I know this topic has been covered in, lets just say, great detail, but I did not see anything about the effects of disconnecting them in the three hours I spent reading the thread on DRLs (just kidding, it was only like 2 hours and 45 minutes... ). Anyway, my question is this. What, if any are the longterm effects of disconnecting the DRLs at the connection point behind the front driver's side headlamp (thanks RunnerRyan, I think) on the FJC electrical system or system computer?

Thanks for any advice,
Robert

Mine have been disconnected since summer, and no side effects, except from some funny looks from other FJC owners.

Just curious why would you not want the day time running lights on?

Well, I had planned to rig up a switch so I could turn them on or off from inside. I just haven't gotten to it.
I unplugged mine because I take a lot of pictures of wheeling. There are a lot of trees here, and can be quite dark-even on a sunny day. If the headlights are on, it messes with the pics. Also, in dusk or dark wheeling, it blinds your spotter.
I drive during the day on the street with my parking lights on...no different than the Tacoma.
