In the middle east you get second tanks i have a new Prado VX Special Edition with long range tank, giving you 180 ltr's there is space for the second tank but NO tank! Also we only get 2 vehical specs and NO OPTIONS or accessories take it or leave it, warrenty is 3 years or 100000k's with maintence contract for 60000k's, has anybody heard of the Special edition with the full length moon roof? UAE is supposed to get 140 this November

No blind spots problem for me, i always drive using my mirrors.

Sunvisors are fine when sun is right in front but useless when on the sides.

Hard plastic are easily scratched, but can't complain, they needed to cut cost somewhere.

Could use another means of ventilation other than the front windows.

My real complain is, my steering wheel is off-center. Allignment from what i can tell is good, so i'm almost sure it's just the steering wheel. Anyone else's steering off-center?

At the first service of my new FJ, I'm going to ask Al Futtaim about sticking a Prado sub tank into it.

The big problem will probably be filling the thing through one filler opening. As you know, the Prado has two fillers.

Failing that, Man-a-fre will be shipping a sub tank.

I also have the steering wheel off center a slight bit. I hav 3k miles and it has been like that since day one. THe alignment is perfect so I guess it is just "off" as far as being totally centered.

I am 6'1 and have no problems with my head hitting anything like the drivers side roofhandle. It is removable also. I agree about the sun visors being of little use, but I rarely have to put up with it and even then it is for a short while.

I kind of like the noise I get from the exhaust while accelerating. It has a nice rumble. I prevously had a 97 4runner and loved it for 7 years. It was quiet in the engine and exhause department, so it is a nice change to have a meaner sounding vehicle

I love everything else about the FJ and any other little "wish I could change this" type thing is really trivial. I sort of feel proud when someone tells me "Ugh I can't see fitting many people in the back" I say Exactly! Keep it that way. THat goes for everything else the common person passing by might critisize. The vehicle isn't for everyone and I shouldn't be.

Very very fun and cool vehicle. I love it

For me, the off center steering was an issue and has, for the most part, been resolved.
I dropped it off at the dealer and they did an alignment and centered the wheel.
While it was much better (it was positioned at 10/4 (clock) beforehand), it is now straight in most conditions. If you drive a pickup, the steering is fine, if you drive a car, its not as precise. Seems normal for this type of vehicle.
Off road, it is great!
