i want to buy a set of very aggressive mud tires. what is the biggest mudder i can fit without raising it? will a 33" work? i have tried my fj in the sand, and on the rocks, using the bfg ats, but i don't trust that tread type in the snow or mud. they mudders will only be put on a couple times a year,(when i go play in azusa canyon!!!). what do you think of these bad boys? http://www.4wheelparts.com/Tires/Bogger.aspx?t_c=13&t_s=158&t_pt=100017&t_pl=3865

They will wear away damn fast if you use them on the road so plan try not to drive long distances to the trails. It is also a pain to swap tires every time your going wheeling. I would go with something else. As far as the size goes you may be able to fit a 33X10.50 on the stock rim because you have the trail teams. check that with other TT owners though.

You can fit a 285/70/17 (33/11/17) with no lift and no trimming, IF you have the correct back spacing/offset. The stock aluminum rims work with that tire, not sure about your TT rims, though.
The Swamper Bogger really only works well in one thing...mud. They will just dig holes in sand or any other soft surface.
I don't know what kind of terrain azusa canyon has, but there are many better choices over the Bogger. If you want to stick with a Swamper, maybe check out the LTB, or the TSL or even the Truxus.

I saw a video from a JP magazine and they used bfg mudders and they supposedly are the best all around tires for the FJ they were used in the "Ultimate Adventure 2006"
and they swear by them.

x2 The BFG MT is a great tire for a moderate off-roader.

I currently use BFG At's and can tell you that every car I've owned with them has done outstanding in snow and mud for an AT.

Heres where BFG thinks their tires fall
