I have been a member for months and finally have my FJ! Well I've had it for a couple months now... but anyway.

I have already done some modifications to it. All listed on the picture. My next mods are a Borla Dual Exhaust, then redoing just about every aspect of the audio. I'm putting in subwoofers, and a double din in dash unit with iPod, navigation, blah blah blah...

I want to know if the chip modifier is worth it? I have only heard of a few cars with them, but they were both more of... street cars. My friends had one in their Subaru STI and another in his BMW 335i. Will it make a difference in an FJ? Plus do I need a special one for having done the mods myself?

And a review of the items I have bought.

Rims, hell yes.

Titanium Header; will make more of a difference once the rest of the exhaust is in.

TRD Cold Air Intake. Now, with TRD having made it, I expected the thing to be a little bit more professional. Well, my hose barb for the air pressure sensor did not fit into the pre-made hole for it in the intake "hose." That was a phenomenal job by Toyota. Then, not even the Toyota dealership had the part - nor could the even order it. That was an incredible day.

Anyway, I'm happy. The car sound pretty bad ass once you hit 2500 rpm's. I can't wait to get the exhaust. I'm also going to do the Supercharger by URD, but that will have to wait until I have the $7,000 to buy it and have it installed.

Nice.

So, when can I expect to see the pics of it covered in mud, and in it's natural habitat? (The woods)
