I am inexperienced in purchasing off road tires and I'm currently wanting to upgrade from the stock tires. In what I've researched it seems that MTs generally don't do as well in icy conditions as ATs or all season tires. Can anyone tell me if this is true and, if so, how bad are they in icy conditions? I'm ok with some of the things which are inherent with MTs, such as loudness or less tread life etc. But living in Indiana I don't want to be fearful of driving in the various winter conditions we experience and this is my daily driving vehicle as well. Any insight would be much appreciated.

I am running firestone destination mt's on my truck and love them. I live in connecticut and so far they have been a great tire in snow, rain, and ice. I would recomend them to anyone looking for an aggresive mud tire with great performance. hope this helps.

in mud, dry street, snow and rain. very fair price too. looks aggressive and matches with FJ. Love it. Good luck with your tires. G.../
