Let me know if you find a hack that will shut off the traction control in 4wd mode (auto). I know having the rear diff lock on will deactivate the traction control, but there has to be a switch I can add to do the same thing.

In my post "VSC activating in 4WD", it turned out not to be VSC...it was the traction control (Sorry for the confusion). The traction control is very inconsistent...sometimes works, sometimes not. I'd rather not have it.

Anyway, you'd think that the traction control would shut off in 4WD along with the VSC, but alas it doesn't and I want to be able to. Any ideas?

I don't know of any offhand. I'd like to be able to shut off all computer control with buttons. I'd like to turn off the airbags, too. Although, I did total the first truck, and they didn't go off, so maybe it's not a big deal. Anyways, if I find one, I'll add it here. I probably won't be looking for one in the near future, as I'm in the middle of doing some major modifications to my 4Runner.

I have the TRD SE model that allows you to use the rrdif lock and A-Track at the same time but only in fL. I would like to have this option in 4H though. Also would like to eliminate the VSC and traction control in 2H with a push of a button. Can I accomplish all of these if so how? Is this safe to do?

It isn't only the TRD model that can use the locker and A-trac at the same time. It is any FJC made after novemberish.
The locker in any mode is in the first post. (I think)
The other one you ask, I haven't found yet. I'll post it when I do.

The 2WD models have the auto LSD option, and the button is right beside the A-trac button. I'm thinking that there has to be a wire back in there that you just have to cut and install a switch, but I haven't tried it yet. Let me know if there are any brave volunteers.

Both the Auto LSD and the trac use the brakes on the drive wheels. The system deactivates if the brake fluid gets too hot, so a quick and dirty method would be to fool the control module into thinking the fluid is too hot. It also shuts off when the check engine light comes on (temporarily disconnecting an 02 sensor would work )

Other than that you can pull the fuse on the ABS but that would affect the VSC too. trac and ABS run on the same fuse but how to isolate the trac is still a mystery.
