fishmagnet1 wrote: Mr. Admin, Which lift did you go with? I am planning on the ARB and OME kit. I am hoping to be able to run 295/70/R17 Toyo Open Country M/T with the stock aluminum rims. I have to find out if the tires will work though. I have heard good things about these Toyo M/T tires. Pricey though !! Runner Ryan is the name...I have the OME "heavy" lift. OME is owned by ARB. The OME lift has some choices in spring stiffness. Soft, med, and heavy. The heavy is made for the weight of aftermarket bumpers, winch, rock sliders, skids, etc. I don't recommend it unless you will be adding that stuff. You can also mix and match. IE heavies up front, and mediums out back. The 295/70/17's will fit fine with the lift. They are only 1/3" taller than the ones on my truck right now. That tire should actually fit with no lift. I am trying to fit 37" tires right now, with the lift I have. Shhhhh, it's a secret.
As for the 18" rims, the right offset is needed, but other than that, you won't have to modify a thing, as long as the overall diameter doesn't exceed 33.5". Exaple: a 275/70/18 will be 33.2" tall and 10.8" wide a 305/60/18 will be 32.4" tall, and 12" wide and a 315/60/18 will be 32.9" tall, and 12.4" wide. All those "should" fit fine with the proper offset, and backspacing.

Mr Admin, I am putting on an ARB bull bar and xd9000 Warn winch. I plan on getting the ARB lift kit with OME. I plan on the heavy springs on the front. I tow sometimes so I was planning on going with the heavy springs on the back. Too much and a harsh ride on the back or ok? Also I would like to go with the Toyo Open Country MT tires (295/70/R17 on the stock 17" rims. It should clear on articulation with the ARB lift kit don't you think? Thanks

Yes, I think they should clear. Actually, you should have room to spare. The OME springs...I'd put the heavies (886) up front, but I find the heavies (896) for the rear are a bit too stiff when there is no weight in the truck. I have resorted to carrying 2 16 litre jugs of water in the back untill my steel bumpers show up, just to give it a bit more weight. I would suggest the mediums (895) for the rear, unless you will ALWAYS have weight in the back, or do a LOT of towing.
PS....there is a few of us Admin's here.
