Blue seems to be the 'default identity' color since the introduction of the FJ. Many of us first remember seeing that color and wanting it. Upon giving further consideration to the other flavors - and based on their availability, taking another color - we chose what made us happy. My wife told me I was to "old" to drive a Blue or Yellow, I couldn't get another Silver, and she didn't like the Purple one! So... Black was the obvious choice for me. And, as they say... once you go black - you don't go back!

I got the blue one because it was one of the only "original" colors of the FJ 40. I really wanted a forest green, but sadly, that wasn't available.
