I just bought the Tough Country 3" lift from Suspension Connection for $300. It comes with front and rear spacers and 4 Tough Country Shocks. I should have it this week and put on by the end of next weekend. ill keep you posted on how it turns out.
... It said you could add up to 295/70r17" tires with it with no rubbing.

Thanks that is actually one of the options that I was considering. That is a good price as well. I put 285/70/17s on with no problem without a lift. They said that if I want to change wheels that I would have to do the lift.

Change the wheels? what wheels do you have? i bought my 08 with an upgraded off road package. Came with TRD Aluminum 265/r75r16's. I put KMC XD wheels of the same size but not bigger tires yet. Thats later when these wear down. What other mods have you done? I just bought a Airraid Cold air intake and a Jet performance throttle body spacer to help boost it up a little. havent recieved them so their not installed yet but i should have them and put on the same time i do the lift. Pretty excited about that.

I just go my FJ last month, then had back surgery. Needless to say not much in mod's.. I did swith to a flowmaster muffler and when a K&N filter is available I will change it out. I took off the 265/70/17 Dunlaps and put on 285/70/17 Notto Dune Grapplers. I ended up going with Truxx 3" lift/level kit, it will be installed Thursday.
