just got a new Voodoo Blue color earlier today and totally stoked about it! we are in the younger crowd, which i know they were trying to target but we couldn't resist. i just got married about a month ago and it was actually a new car we could actually agree on. we needed to get out of a lease on her manual Chevy Cobalt (which we hated) and she wanted something higher off the ground. we live in Plano, Texas and the people here drive like psychos, so the higher up you are the better (basically the bigger car wins. it is total upscale SUV/truck land.) i have a 2001 dodge ram which we are just using for basic stuff... back and forth from work. she wanted a trailblazer, but i really didn't like it at all and had to come up with an idea to convince her otherwise and emailed her at work a few days ago the top three cars i liked (no offense to trailblazer owners.) her number one was my number one after looking at jdpower and assoc, the toyota website, and taking the test drive (which hooked us both instantly.) she used to work at a GM dealership and she says it rides close to the H3, but i have no idea since i've never driven one. i can tell you that it is definitely better to buy one of these new instead of used, only because there is hardly any difference in price with it being such a new vehicle (at least that is the case in our area.) i look forward to using it mostly in the city but want to customize it a little bit and take it to San Antonio every once in a while because i have a friend down there in the Hummer/Jeep club. he knows all the trails in south texas so maybe i can try a couple of the easy ones and see what happens. anyways, i've already looked at a couple of the forums and got some useful info already. i'll post anything that comes up with mine and kudos to the guys who designed this thing. ok, i'm rambling now so i'll save it for a post in the future. dueces!

on a side note... i wish they had some cooler commercials... or at least some commercials here cause i never, ever see any on tv.

Hey VOODOO, what a find huh? I have the plum but the car in general rocks! I have never been more impressed with a car I have ever owned than with my FJ. The value it will retain makes it a car I can trick and not worry if it will go outta style. Like the jeep of yesteryear, this vehicle will be timeless. By the way, I pity a Jeep owner every time I see one now, Hummer dudes get a smirk and maybe a chuckle. We know better. My freinds are all jealous, their opinions usally begin with" I was going to get one of those..." 'Sorry" I say, "Maybe I can let you drive it..." Anyways I am lovin it in Baton Rouge!
