Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone is enjoyin their FJ...
I am in the Market for some Rock rails that I can also use occasionally to step on to get to the roof rack. I like the Trail Gear Rock SLiders. The Price is good and they look half decent as well. (http://www.trail-gear.com)
Does anyone know if these can be installed fairly easy? If you know anything about them or you want to take a look at the sight and tell me what you think, please let me know. Thanks!

Or..... if you have a recomendation as to what type of rails would be better... please... let me know that as well.

Thanks!

The trail gear sliders look pretty good. Good price, too.
They just bolt on, as all the sliders do for the Cruiser. I went with the Allpro sliders. They have saved me from damage quite a few times, and are great to reach the roof.

awsome... thank you for your reply. I checked out the all pro and they seem pretty similar as well. Your FJ is looking good! I read in another forum that you said you have the Manual trans as well. How do you like it? I just got my FJ about two weeks ago and I have the Manual as well. about 900 miles... does it break in nice? How has it been treating you?

The transmission is nice. Smooth, and easy to shift. Sometimes (and others have agreed) it is hard to get into gear from a stop. Just re-clutch, and go. Also the shift from 2nd to 3rd can sometimes be tricky. Just seems to be how the tranny is. I wouldn't want to trade it. I have manuals in all my vehicles.
The manual towes nicely. Has a gear for every situation. The engine breaks in noticably. It seems to get more power up until about 3-4000 km.
I love it. I just wish it was a dark green.

Yeah tell me about it... I love my black one... but a nice green would be sweet. Thanks for the info on the tran and engine... it will be very helpful.
