I just spoke to the stealership and they told me that a receiver hitch goes for $250 and the wiring harness is $150. I have never heard of a wiring harness that costs $150. He said that it is some sort of special harness, any truth to that?

That's close to what I paid. The harness isn't really that special, other than the fact that it plugs right in, and comes with relays and control boxes that plug into existing wiring. Worth the extra $$ for a clean install, and more ground clearance with the factory hitch.

Rusty Wallace Toyota was selling them for $250 with the wiring harness and the little panel above the receiver. Click on the add on home page of this site. The wiring isn't all that easy to do.

When I crawled up under there it looks like a plug & play type setup but apparently that is not the case.......Hmmmm.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but I thought I saw a harness pre-installed tucked under the rear end?
What was I looking at if it's not the light harness?
