hey, i want to install two subs in the back of my FJ, i want to buy two subs that come with the FJ originally, and have one on the left and right side of the trunk. is that possible and if so, how? thank you

The FJ is prewired for one factory sub.

I'm sure you could split the signal for two subs but since its not designed for it you may have issues loudness and sound quality.

i would not use the factory subs. they use high level inputs and about 18 gauge wire for power. if you split that for both sides i think power loss would be a problem. the best would be to get two shallow mount 10in subs and a 2ch amp to hide somewhere. use a high level to rca converter off of the factory wiring at the head unit and run 4 gauge power wire. the sound quality would be much better and i doubt that it would be much more expensive than two factory subs.
