i was wondering about that.. the difference in gas mileage. anyone who i mention the lift kit and tires too.. tells me ohhh... heid, you shouldnt do that. they way gas prices are now??
seriously.. how much difference does it make? its 54.00 as it is for me to fill the tank now.. if its only a couple dollars more.. im not gonna mind. but if its like 30 bucks more, well heck yes im gonna mind.

seeing your photos of your ride next to the stock? confirms my desire to raise mine and put on bigger tires. as 2pissed said... thats a damn sexy ride, and i concur. holy crap is that thing a gorgeous beast. if i was a car, id as it to marry me

Ha ha ha!
I recently put in the lower 4:56 gears, but I haven't done a thourough check on fuel economy differences. So far it's looking a LOT better than using the stock gears and 37's.

I think most people think it makes economy suffer because they don't bother to change the axle gears. This makes you have to rev higher in each gear to compensate for the added leverage the larger tires give you. On top of that, your speedometer and odometer will be quite a ways off. While doing what my speedometer says is 80, I'm actually doing closer to 110. So, you are actually covering more ground than your odometer says you are.

The batting of the lashes may help, but the part about the lift/guages affecting the accuracy of stuff, might get you a vehicle inspection notice. I don't know what the rules are in Ohio, but here, you have to have it inspected if you lift over 3".
