How do you get the speedo adjusted to correct reading with the larger tires as I plan on replacing mine when it is time with 37" after the 6" lift.

thanks,

When you replace the axle gears to compensate for the larger diameter of the tires,(which you WILL need to do) it will bring the speedo closer to being accurate. As for making it accurate after mods...I just get a buddy to pace me, and I note how far off the speed is. Then drive accordingly.

Thanks for all the input, folks! It's good to hear about experience from others. Does anyone know whether the speedo can be corrected for other-than-stock-sized tires by programming the computer? I have a '97 F350 4WD that does allow this. It's done via the port that's used for reading maintenance/error codes, and can be done with nothing more than a shorting wire - like a paper clip.

I would talk to the dealership about that one.
