Just finished the A-trac and rear diff at the same time hack using the no-cut method. I was having some difficulty at first, but I'd rather not go into it for fear of losing my karma of "1"...it was really rather dumb on my part.
I also drove one with a January 07 build date...yes they now come like that from the factory. Toyota really should retro-fit the older ones for free. I asked my service dept and right now there is no bulletin for this but I'll keep you posted.

I have one built in late jan 07 and mine does have it. 07 FJ TRD special edition. nothing added except a loose nut behind the wheel.

anyone know if your fj doesn't have a rear locker can the dealer install a factory one? because the atrac hack says it needs that for it too work. mowryj@email.com thanks

what is different elctronically and mechically for the fj with and without a rear locker? is is possible to get a loacker installed then atrac will work?
