again...its nothing to worry about...some dealerships will even fix it for free...i have an07 and have had no problems...going on one year and 13k miles..and i beat the snot out of it on the beach..25+ miles on the beach daily 30mph for 4 months and i even have an extra 100 plus pounds hanging off the frame(winch+bumper)..i guess i got a good one

yeah I got an 07 built in noveber 06 and I got the fender bulges. not cracked but definitly bulged. They, as stated by others are not structural panels, toyota just designed them with the crumple zone notches too close together. the 08 models have been changed to address this issue. As for fixing them I know 2 folks who have had their fenderwells replaced, one of them has issues with the headlight and turnsignal housing not fitting correctly and the other one caught on fire from the welding at the dealership and he now owns a Jeep rubicon due to the bad taste he got from dealing with toyota over the replacement. As for me, I will be leaving mine bent as is.
