Did a whole bunch or research on the new FJ, was going to check out the 4x4 auto version. Went to one of the local dealer close to my house, saw one TRD version with almost everything except the sufwoofer, loved it, the sticker was around $32900 something. The manager said could knock off $3,000.

My question is: 1) Is TRD version worth the $$$ as compared to the regular version? 2) Is $3,000 off a good deal for this vehicle?

The all black color looked sweet and mean.

Can't help you with prices, as I'm in Canada, and our BASE model is $29,990. But the TRD version is a marked up version of the regular one. Almost everything is available on the regular FJC, they just painted the roof black, and put red shocks on it. If you don't plan to modify it, it could be a good buy. If you plan to modify it, then you will be removing most of the stuff that you just paid for.
OH, and welcome! If you get one, you won't regret it.

Plus222, I think that is a good deal for the TRD FJ. If I remember correctly, one source stated the price of the TRD was going to be around 35K. I also remember something about the TRD package adding $7500 over and above package 1 and 2. I hope you get the FJ or any model fj for that matter. Good luck. I too, am a noob here.

The thing I noticed when I was there was the back seat access seemed difficult, and the back seat size. I am 6'3", when I roll my seat back, the back seat behind me is unseatable. Also some review says something about blind spots or rear view visiblility.

Do all you FJ owners think this is a big deal? or it's something you all can deal with?

I'm 6'2" and this is the only vehicle i've owned that I didn't have to move the seat back as far as it will go to be comfortable. The back seat area does seem difficult. I have had my fj only one week and plan to ride in the back soon to check it out. I too, heard about the "blind spots" before I bought mine. Sure, there are some areas around the fj that are difficult to see while driving. But, I don't think its nearly as bad as most report it to be. I like the view from the drivers seat and have had no trouble with "blind spots".
