Hi all,

I was just Out at Ens Lexus Toyota in Saskatoon Canada. I have found a smoking hot deal on an 07 that is brand spanking new. I'm currently driving a 04 Rav LTD.

I wondering about the 4WD system I forgot to ask the salesman about it and I would like to know before I spend a bunch of time tomorrow moving money around to buy this thing.

I had a 98 4Runner and if you were flying down the highway at 100km or 60mph you could just slap the baby in 4wd on the fly if the road started to get sketchy. Can you do this with the FJ????????

Also, my other question is about the passenger seat arm rest. I really wanted the C model that has everything but the deal it just too sweet on the B model to pass up, the only thing it doesn't have is the passenger seat arm rest. Can this be thrown on afterwards or is a factory option??

Thanks!! Hope to be driving an FJ on monday!!!

I don't about shifting at 100kph, but you can definitely shift to 4HI without stopping.

Yes, you can add the armrest. Search around this site - you will find discussions on this.

You can shift at 50 mph at least. I tried shifting out of 4wd going that fast and it didn't work? Then I realized that I was trying to go into 4 low!!!

the system works great (same as my 4runner and Tacoma) shifting in and out of 4wd.

The arm rest can be added by the dealer or by yourself for cheaper.

The auto transmission works just like you say but I always slow down mental worry. The 08 FJ has a passenger arm rest but you can get the arm rest on ebay. This also the best 4x4 I have owned, Tain Utah
