I've had mine replaced once and many other members had similar issues.

Exactly...it's the nature of the beast. The windshield is practically flat and almost vertical so you're hitting rocks full on as opposed to deflecting at an angle.
I wouldn't expect a recall. It's not a defect. Just designed that way.

I started driving in 1968 and my first flat windshield Jeep was a 1948 that I bought in 1970. I owned some sort of Jeep and may other cars since then. In 97 I started driving Jeeps all the time. In 2003 I took a rock and a ding. In 2005 I took three rocks and a major crack.. Ron

Since I've owned my Cruiser I have had a chip in the windshield, then this past weekend I had another rock fly up and hit it hard enough to crack it and it has been creeping across ever since. Has anyone else had issues with this? Could it be because of the angle that the windshield is on?

Can you post up some info on how I can get this clear plastic protection. If it can help absorb some of the shock that would help.
