On another thread someone was asking about changing the light bulbs that are housed in the rearview mirrors.
I hav successfully removed both driver and passanger mirrors from their housing and found the blub to be a #194. I have some LED's on order and will post pics and a description of how to remove the mirrors and replace the bulbs as soon as i receive the new ones in the mail, should be just a day or two. stay tuned.

Just out of curiousity...what are the mirror lights for? Mine doesn't have them. Are they just extra marker lights?

As per Toyota "power outside mirrors with illuminated markers" available with the CQ convenience package.
Do you know if the #194 LEDS are available at auto parts stores? I think I might add that mod to my upgrade list. Thanks alot for thinking of it

I have lots of toys on my FJ that I have not played with yet - marker lights included...
I thought they were blinkers when I first saw them, lol
