Has this FJ been title? If so, you're buying a used FJ and I would use NADA value as a baseline but at frist sight 38K does seem to be on the high side.

Seems high to me. I think I know the one you are talking about, its it on Ebay? I am about to purchase one with package 2 & the convenience package on it along with the front brush guard & offroad lights for $30588. I can put a lift & tires on it for way less than $7000.

I was told that you could get the top painted for around $800. I was also told that the 2008 model will be available in all black without having to order a special edition model.
