You do know you can shut the seatbelt reminder off, right? It tells you how to do it in the owner's manual.

Yep,
But I have a step son (11) and brother in law (13) that always forget their seatbelts. In Mississippi, they just passed the law that allows police to stop you for your seatbelt so they are pretty gung-ho about it now and the annoying noise is just what I need to remind me to fuss at them when they don't put it on

I do like the shaker thing though
Have them sit down and think their marbles are getting ready to be shocked - great idea

Shaker. Now thats an idea. I was wondering how I could logically place LEDs. I dont back up and look the same way each time. Shaker is a good idea.

I should ponder on this. How much would this run? I'm from Maryland (near Frederick).

Mine works fine as well, though only up until about 5 MPH. Also, doesn't catch anything under the bumpers height; fortunately my neighbor got my attention before I ALMOST ran over his cat which for some reason decide to sit behind it in my drive way.

I just had my FJ in for a hitch install. The mechanic adjusted the sensor and now it works perfectly. Prior to being adjusted it only worked very close to object - nearly worthless.

My understanding is the adjustment if the sensor is part of your initial prep - so take it in and have it fixed.
