Pretty sure the '08 was the first year for them on the FJC. Salesmen will tell you anything. Do the sensors indicate a problem if pressure drops below a certain point, or if one tire shows a drop more than the others? I don't see the need. We are being dumbified with all this damned "protection".

Some people drive around with one or more tires almost flat. More often that not around here, it's an expensive BMW or MB with blacked out windows, dirty and the tires look like they've been curbed since day one.. Drives me crazy.. Ron

Just because you got to the game late and bought an '08 doesn't mean it is better than an '07. The "my '08 is better than your '07" is junior high. Bottom line is the FJ is a monster no matter what year! The only difference is the tire light that you seem to be having problems with, gauges do the job just as well.
