I was having a problem with the AC staying on. I was going to take it to the dealer when I realized if the temperature dial is turned all the way to the coldest position the AC automatically comes on and stays on. When I clicked the dial up one notch I was able to turn the AC off. Anyone having this issue?

Not that hot yet in Texas.

Yeah, just figured that one out myself, I guess you can have just a fan on or an AC fan on, but in the MAX AC setting the AC stays on.

It's not really a problem, all the FJ's are like that. When you turn the dial all the way to the left, it turns on the A/C figuring that you want it that cold. You don't have to do that each time to turn the A/C on though, you can just press the button, as long as the dial's on the cold side.

Ya, all are like that. I find it annoying, though. Quite often I just want the fresh air without opening the windows. No heat, no cold. Just fresh air. I have to turn it all the way down, then a couple clicks up, and then press the button to turn AC off. Would have been much easier if you just had to press the button to turn it on and off. I hate stuff trying to guess at what you want.

if you look at the dial it says right on there MAX A/C. ... as in... A/C.
