Is anyone else having a problem with excessive paint chips? My FJ is blue. I went through a section of road on the freeway with salt and sand on it left to melt snow. I received about 50 rock chips from the sand and salt being kicked up by other vehicles. All the chips are on the blue paint. The white paint is showing through all the chips and seems to be in tact. The white roof paint (windshield sill area) was not affected nor was the windshield, wiper arms, grill, bumper or trim. I'm a former auto body shop owner and I am certain this is a paint defect. ....just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this before I head to the local dealer and make demands.

I have chips in my blue paint, but I drive on a lot of gravel roads to go wheeling. Can't expect it not to chip. But if Toyota will pay for a new paint job, I'd love to go with a nice forest green.

We only have one chip, so far. It's one of the perks of driving behind a tractor trailer hauling rocks out of the mine
