RunnerRyan:

I have a couple of questions. In your videos, it appears that you have a CB and external antenna set-up in your FJ. What kind of CB do you have and where exactly do you have it mounted in the vehicle?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

streebeck

Can't remember what brand the CB is, but I mounted it on the spot where the passenger armrest should bolt to. The antenna is a magnet mount that just sticks to the roof. It's nice that it can be removed when wanted, but I do plan on putting a permenant antenna on it. I found a company that makes a bracket that hugs the top hinge for the back door. You can bolt that to the hinge, and attach a regular CB antenna to that. I'll try to find a link.

I just bolted the CB to the point the passenger armrest would have gone. No holes needed to be drilled.

I found the link for the antenna mount. They call it a Bandi Mount
I guess it's available from www.allprooffroad.com
More of the same

My gosh,

RunnerRyan: Thanks for all the detailed info. I'm going to Pismo Beach, CA for the annual Surf 'n Turf Land Cruiser off-road event in a couple of weeks and I wanted to have a CB installed beforehand.

That Bandi Mount is very trick; I think I'm going to go with that in the near future as they are not in stock quite yet. The link you provided for All Pro Off Road was outstanding. They are not too far away from my home and they have all sorts of trick stuff for the FJ that I think I'll be buying after Christmas.

Thanks again,

Jason
