Where does your 10 foot pipe fit in? Uranus?

All you stargazin' geeks and your fancy tubes, mirrors and lenses... all I need is to point my 10' pipe to the sky and I can see Uranus as clear as day!

When I was looking for info about the fj I found this site. I also found plenty of info about a 10' pipe, LOL. Take me back to the beginning. What started the 10' pipe "thing"? Inquiring minds want to know !

I believe it was because I didn't take the rook rack option for my FJ. When I went to Home Depot, I also had the option of taking my wife's minivan or bring my FJ. (The minivan was no longer an option) Because I picked up some 10' copper pipe, I was surprised to find that I could put it diagonally INSIDE my FJ without having the rear window open. IT JUST FIT! Thus began the legend of the 10' pipe. Since then, it's taken on a life of its own (with the help of the deranged minds on this forum).
Now it continues to amaze and amuse all those who believe in the POWER of the 10' PIPE.

FJeologist - I was right... I CAN SEE IT!

Robotchef, I too didn't go for the roof rack. Its good to know that a 10 ft. pipe will fit in the fj. I was wondering if a person could rest comfortably in the back with the seats folded-maybe for camping purposes. (anyone tried this?) If a ten ft pipe can fit, a 6 ft 2 in person should be okay!
