Just would like to get a letter from toyota telling me to take my fj to the dealer to get my new paint job! PLEASE I love my fj but it has a paint job from hell dont even look at it wrong or a scratch will show up I have always loved washing my vehicle but am afraid to touch it I take it to a touchless wash and it really does not get it clean so come on toyota do the right thing and recall the paint jobs on at least the 2007 model !!!! I agree... I've had a few problems with my paint, but not enough to have any type of warranty claim. Please let us know if you do get a free paint job...

I have a Voodoo blue 2007 and have had no problems with my paint. I have washed by hand and ran through the local Mike's car wash with no problem. I do have a few rock chips from road travel. Would be interested to see if there will be a recall or some type of service issue.

I would have to agree on the paint issue . my 07 has very fine scratches in the finnish that almost look like cob web lines . I only went to a car wash one time and the brush head had left scratches on the hood . I had even rinsed the brush with the pressure wand prior to using it so as to remove any funk . the clear coat is cheap at best . other than that I love my fj . my girlfriend calls her the mistress . I have to admit, she puts a smile on my face more often than not. and she likes getting dirty.hope i dont wash the paint off trying to keep her looking good .
