Almost and I stress almost every state has coverage figured in to replace windshields at no cost to the consumer. NO DEDUCTIBLE! A simple call to your agent will fill you in. Some don't want to call agents, so in this case, call the insurance commisioner of your state. They will provide you info on state statutes for your state on exactly what your ins co. has to provide. Its insurance fraud for an agent to misinform you on your coverage, that is IF your told its not covered or its covered with a deductible, when statute provides at no deductible. Hope this helps.

Well, I know I have to pay a deductible...but that's here in BC. I must be lucky. I even crashed mine, and still have a perfect windshield.

I seen that big bruise. Glad your fine. Isn't wierd with all the cracks around that yours is blimish free. One would think that either defective manufacturing or to tight of a fit is causing the cracks, but the jar yours took has me wondering the exact cause of the issue.

Not only that, but at least half of my 18,000 km have been on gravel roads and trails. My town isn't really that big, so not much of that is commuting. Although, Victoria is considered one of the cleanest cities in the world. Street sweepers run overtime.

For what it's worth, I put a post about this problem from my experiences. It's under Problems and Issues, Cracked Windshield.
