Hi, with the huge headroom in my FJ (my height adds to this by the way), and lack of a map light or convenient lighting in the front cabin area I wondered if the was an accessory center console incorporating some storage and a couple of spot lights that may be available ??

Yes there is an accessory once I find the link I will post it to you. It's goes up on the headliner near the windshield and has 2 non adjustable lamps. There are 2 varieties, one has a little cubby hole for like storing a map or a pair of glasses and the second variety is closed off. I think It was about $100.
